This is a LIFE CHANGING video that everybody needs to watch and share. I suffered for most of my life with eczema, allergies and developed asthma as an adult. I was on various medication, steroidal creams, anti-histamines, and my life was miserable! 
I cured these dis-eases through changing my diet. I stopped eating all forms of dairy and I also reduced my fat intake to less than 10% of my daily calories. The 80/10/10 vegan lifestyle is definitely the answer if you need to heal your body. Until dairy is eliminated and fats are significantly reduced, everything else is a band-aid solution at best. Don’t get scammed by “healing balms”, pro-biotics, kefir and other forms of “health solutions”. Your body will heal itself from the inside out with a clean vegan diet.

Trying Vegan Parmesan | The Nutritional Yeast Challenge



This week, we’re trying something a little different. As you may or may not know, this channel started out as a lifestyle and vlogging channel, and during Drag Race season became a channel for documenting the queens talking at San Francisco venues. This week, we’re going back to this channel’s roots to do a challenge we ourselves made up for fun.

The Nutritional Yeast Challenge. For those who don’t know, nutritional yeast or “nooch” as the vegans call it, is a deactivated yeast with a ton of health benefits that vegans use as a substitute for parmesan cheese. It’s extremely popular among my favorite YouTube food channels, and something Steven and I have always wondered about the taste of. As parmesan lovers, we knew that we wouldn’t necessarily make the switch because of a project like this, but we did want to get to know the product a bit better out of curiosity.

Vegan “Cheese” Sauce



A potatoes and carrots based “cheese” sauce that will surprise you in its texture and flavor. Great with pasta, veggies, or as a queso dip for tortilla chips. This recipe is enough to generously coat a 13.25 oz. (375g) box of cooked pasta.

Ingredients:
1 c. boiled carrots
2 c. boiled potatoes
1/2 – 3/4 c. nutritional yeast
1/3 c. extra virgin olive oil
1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. onion powder
dash cayenne pepper (not enough to make it “hot” but you could leave it out if you want)
1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. smoked paprika (add more or less, to taste)

**** 2017 IMPROVEMENTS AND MODIFICATIONS! ****

1. Instead of 1/2 c. water, I’m using 1/2 c. vegetable broth for a little more flavor.
2. I’m adding about a heaping 1/2 c. of cashew paste. You can omit, but it adds a “next level” of richness.
3. Instead of the lemon juice, I’ve made it with 2 tsp. lactic acid. The “tang” lactic acid imparts is so much like cheddar cheese!
4. I’ve substituted the potatoes with an equal amount of cauliflower. Works great as a lower carb alternative.
5. I’ve increased the nutritional yeast amount to 1 cup. Can’t have too much nooch, and it boosts protein and B12 count. Win-win!
6. I’ve added about 1/4 – 1/2 tsp. black pepper. I feel that it kicks it up a notch. You can omit.

This sauce is just unbelievable. You have to try it. Enjoy!
